Transflo Named ‘2022 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation’
Transflo honored for fostering diversity and career development for women in logistics.
TAMPA, Fla., (Nov. 3, 2022) – Transflo, a leading mobile and cloud-based platform that automates and unifies supply chain processes and mobility, today announced it has been recognized as a 2022 “Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT). The organization’s mission is to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments, and minimize the obstacles they face.
The characteristics that distinguish companies recognized on this list, include corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible work hours; professional development support; and career advancement opportunities. The winning accolade comes from the shared desire by Transflo’s leadership to steer the freight industry in a more diverse and prosperous direction.
“Transflo continues to grow rapidly in the transportation industry thanks to our innovative technology, customer-focused approach, and collaborative team,” said Renee Krug, CEO at Transflo. A major part of our success stems from supporting career development which includes recognizing and mentoring women in the freight space. On behalf of myself and our entire team, we are honored to be recognized as an organization cultivating diversity and growth opportunities.”
The Women In Trucking Association determines companies on this list with a two-step process. First, nominations of the companies are received and carefully reviewed to ensure they qualify and meet the minimum qualifications. Then, the final ballot of companies is voted on by individuals in the industry. This year marks the fifth year of this prestigious recognition program that has garnered more than 22,000 votes to identify the final companies named to the list.
“As competent, talented women continue to rise through the ranks in the transportation industry, we are excited to feature the companies that make the strategic effort to attract and retain a more gender-diverse workforce,” Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director of Redefining the Road magazine. “This distinction of their impressive efforts legitimizes the recognition they deserve.”
This year, the list is comprised of a diverse range of business sectors in the commercial freight transportation space, including motor carriers, third-party logistics companies, technology companies, and original equipment manufacturers. These companies will be recognized at the upcoming WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo on Nov. 13-16 in Dallas.
