Transflo launches Transflo Lite, a free version of the industry-leading mobile app
Transflo Lite gives owner-operators and small-business truckers access to a trusted mobile platform for no-contact document management and other workflow tasks.
TAMPA, Fla., June 28, 2021 — Transflo, provider of a mobile and cloud-based platform that drives connectivity, automation, and supply chain liquidity, announces Transflo Lite, a free suite of workflow tools for drivers and owner-operator truckers. The Lite mode within the industry-leading Transflo Mobile+ smartphone and tablet app will be available in late July.
Transflo Lite provides drivers with a simple, secure, and trusted solution to manage freight documents. Within the Transflo Mobile+ app, drivers can scan, send, and receive necessary workflow documents, including electronic Bills of Lading and Proofs of Delivery (eBOL and ePOD). Transflo introduced contactless eBOL and ePOD last year as a way for drivers to remain safe, get paid faster, and limit dwell times at shippers and receivers.
In addition to document management, Transflo Lite provides free access to the Transflo Social Network, weather reports, driver emergency assistance, and location finder for truck stops and Transflo Express document scanning. Transflo Lite also integrates CAT Scales, Pilot Flying J, Love’s, and TA/Petro apps, consolidating applications on drivers’ phones and tablets.
“In today’s world of contactless paperwork, it’s imperative that trucking companies of all sizes, including single-truck owner-operators, have a trusted platform for document management,” said Transflo President Michael Southworth. “Transflo has been a leader in freight documentation management since 1991, and Transflo Lite is the latest step to drive connectivity, supply chain liquidity, and automation throughout the supply chain ecosystem. With Transflo Lite, we’re giving owner-operators access to the market leading Transflo platform at no cost, helping integrate and consolidate other applications and workflow tasks into one simple app.”
Driver recruiting and retention annually rank highest among fleet concerns in the American Transportation Research Institute’s Critical Issues in Trucking report (ATRI report). Transflo Mobile+, and now Transflo Lite, aim to help fleets alleviate those issues by providing technology that simplifies and centralizes drivers’ tasks.
“Shippers and receivers increasingly are mandating the use of contactless eBOL document management by fleets and drivers. We strive to accelerate eBOL adoption by providing all drivers access to the Transflo platform,” Southworth continued, “Innovation is becoming key to driver retention. Drivers are looking for fleets that provide the best technology that’s integrated in the right way into their daily duties. Transflo Mobile+ and Transflo Lite do just that. They simplify driver tasks, decrease downtime, and accelerate document processing for quicker settlements.”
Transflo Lite, available within the Transflo Mobile+ app, will launch mid-July and be available on all iOS and Android devices via the App Store and the Google Play market by the end of July.
