TAMPA, Fla., June 15, 2017 – Pegasus TransTech, a leader in enterprise mobility, telematics, and business process automation for the transportation industry, today announced that the Simplex Group, Inc. has signed an exclusive agreement to promote and sell the company’s next-generation Transflo Telematics solution.
Simplex Group is a leader in compliance and safety solutions that address Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. The company will begin providing Transflo E-Log services through its DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Compliance offering, administering and monitoring electronic log programs for clients.
“The extensive set of compliance solutions we offer makes Transflo Telematics a natural addition,” said Gabriel Gonzalez, Vice President at the Simplex Group. “Moving to electronic logs will be one of the most important issues of the year, and we’re excited to enhance our service offering. The Transflo brand is well known, and that’s important to our clients.”
Unique to the Simplex Group is its extensive client footprint in the Hispanic market, an additional segment of the industry that will be reached by Transflo’s ELD solutions. Hispanic drivers will benefit from hours of service (HOS) features that come with joint bilingual product and support resources as they seek to comply with the December 18, 2017 electronic logging deadline.
“We continue to execute on our plan to provide a high-quality product in channels that are convenient to carriers,” adds Mark Spicer, Vice President of Integrated Solutions at Pegasus TransTech. “Through the Simplex Group partnership we’re addressing the needs of commercial drivers in the Hispanic market, which is a significant segment that is often underserved.”
With the Simplex Group now selling the new service to its client base, Hispanic drivers can achieve new efficiencies with Transflo Telematics. Additionally, analysis from the FMCSA indicates that less paperwork, coupled with fewer and faster inspections, can save a carrier 20 hours per driver each year.
