Pilot Flying J Now Offers Transflo Electronic Logging Device in Travel Centers
Transflo ELD T7 by Pegasus TransTech to be available in Pilot and Flying J stores across the United States
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 20, 2017 – Pegasus TransTech, a leader in enterprise mobility, telematics, and business process automation for the transportation industry, today announced that it has begun distributing its next-generation Transflo Telematics solution in Pilot and Flying J travel centers throughout the United States. The news was unveiled in St. Petersburg, Fla. during Trucking LIVE, the Pegasus TransTech 2017 Client Conference.
Pilot Flying J has signed an agreement to carry a significant quantity of Transflo ELD T7 devices, promoting and selling them throughout its network of stores. The retail package includes everything a driver needs to get started with electronic logging – an ELD, instructions and reference guides, and mobile access to electronic logs and hours of service features through the new Transflo HOS app. The device installs in minutes and comes with an installation harness that is compatible with heavy-duty trucks.
“Pilot Flying J is dedicated to helping professional drivers be as efficient as possible,” said Ken Parent, President at Pilot Flying J. “We are thrilled to partner with Transflo to offer these next-generation solutions to our guests so they can enjoy ease of access and enhanced convenience. We strive for our stores to be a one-stop shop that meets our guests’ needs and preferences, and adding cutting-edge products for professional drivers helps achieve that goal.”
The offering is backed by some of the best support resources in the industry. Professional drivers can access self-service material directly in the mobile app, on the Transflo support site, and in print. They can also call or email the Transflo Support team, which provides mobile and document management assistance to drivers on the road. The company has hired additional support team members at its Tampa, Fla. headquarters in preparation for drivers switching from paper logs to electronic logs this year.
“We continue to make ELD units available where and when commercial drivers need them most, and we’re excited to add Pilot Flying J to our retail distribution network,” shares Frank Adelman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pegasus TransTech. “Service, inventory, and convenience are differentiators that improve the driver experience and make the transition easy. In addition to providing a quality product at an affordable price, we’re providing unique value in each of these areas.”
As part of the retail offering, independent drivers and owner-operators will find new insights about their trucks through the Transflo Telematics portal. Small fleet owners can monitor fuel consumption and receive maintenance and safety alerts. They can even access data to be used with international fuel tax reporting. These features not only allow trucking companies to be compliant with ELD rules but also improve operational efficiency.
Pegasus TransTech and Pilot Flying J are adding retail telematics to a strategic partnership, which has provided document solutions to commercial drivers at travel plazas for more than 15 years. Drivers using solutions through the partnership can conveniently digitize, send, and receive documents through the largest group of travel centers in the country. They can also access mobile fueling and digital wallet features of the myPilot app through Transflo Mobile. The retail Transflo ELD solution is now available at Pilot Flying J stores.
